TPS - Snowflake Fairy

Well it is nearly time for the big fella to visit us all and spend time with family making new memories, so my final DT card this year for The Paper Shelter is a Christmas card using The Snowflake Fairy

I have placed her in a snow globe and coloured her with Copics in shades of Blue to match my snowflake backing paper.

I have added sparkles to her wings and the snowflake.

This week over at The Paper Shelter our theme is "Festive Colours'.

Usually I do not use the traditional Red & Green, opting for Blue/Silver combos, but I thought I would give the Red & Green a go.

The Image I have used is Snowflake Garland, which has been coloured with Copics.

Layered with Green & Red card with die cut snowflakes and pine trees with a littles Stickles for sparkle.

It's time for a new challenge over at The Paper Shelter and we would like you to show us some Bling.

The image I have used this week is Sundae Time.

I coloured my image with Copics and tried to get some sparkle on her skirt and hairband by using dots.

Once coloured I matted onto hot pink and turquoise card and then found some co-ordinating patterned papers for the background.

I added some bling with tiny blue flower gems.

Snowglobes

This week I finally made a start on my Christmas cards and had a play with a Snowglobe Stencil from Card-io Stamps.

I started by outlining in distress ink and then from there built up my Scenes using a selection of Card-io Stamps.

This week at The Paper Shelter our theme is FANTASY, I would usually go straight for a Fairy or Mermaid for this challenge, but as it is almost Halloween, I thought I would colour up the .Not so Scary Scarecrow.

I coloured the main image with Copics and went for a pencil background.

I layered the image behind a cut out I made on the Silhouette Cameo and then stamped with a Lavinia Stamps cobweb.

I cut the mini spiders on the Cameo and also engraved the sentiment too.

TPS - Alter It

This week over at The Paper Shelter our Theme is ALTER IT.

I chose to use one of the first images I purchased from the Paper Shelter, Magic Bubbles.

For my card, I cropped just the head from the image, which I coloured with Copics and then cut with a circle die.

I layered this onto black card, so I could draw my bubbles with Prismacolor pencils, for a first attempt I am pretty happy with how they turned out.

I finished with a foiled birthday sentiment and a little die-cut sentiment.

Our theme this week over at The Paper Shelter is 'Buttons and Bows", I always find this one a bit tricky as I have a bit of a button Phobia.

Never the less I managed to find a tiny metal button charm to add to the corner of my card.

The image I have used is Moon Goddess, she is coloured with Copics and for the background I have used distress inks to create a kind of Northern Lights look.

For my bow element, I used two contrasting ribbons to create a double bow, I left the bottoms of ribbons long and twisted them down the side of the card.

Our new challenge over at The Paper Shelter is WATERWISE, we want to see any water related projects.

I have chosen to use the image The Suns in my Heart, which I coloured a while back following a colouring class from Kit & Clowder.

I have used Copics to colour my image.

I matted with hot Pink card and used a base layer of pattered paper, finishing off with a die cut umbrella and 'Sparkle" sentiment.

TPS - Autumn Colours

So Summer will shortly be at an end and the lovely colours of Autumn will arrive, so our challenge this week over at The Paper Shelter is AUTUMN COLOURS.

I love the colour of the leaves in Autumn, so I have tried to depict this in my card, by using Red, Orange, Yellow and Green

The image is Enchanted Serenade and coloured with Copics.

We are back with a new challenge after our summer break and the theme this week is CHARMING.

I have used the image Playing under the Sea.

I started by masking my image and inking the background in green and blue, then I used a stencil for the bubbles.

I coloured my image with Copics and have added tons of sparkle to her tail with a clear Spectrum Noir pen.

I layered her up and added with bubble die cuts and little seahorse charm and a couple of my resin makes - a starfish and another seahorse.

As always there are prizes to be won.

Hi everyone our new challenge over at THE PAPER SHELTER is 'Going Digital', so you can create anything you like with a digital image, or how about a couple of merged images, the scope is endless.

My Niece recently brought her first flat, so I used the magical Mushroom Castle to create a new home card.

The papers are from my stash - which seems to be growing - I think this one is from the range, they have some fab 12 x 12 paper pads.

The image is coloured with Copics and I dusted distress inks for the sky..

Finally I used my Tattered Lace foiling machine to create the sentiment.

There is a new challenge on the Card-io Facebook page and I really wanted to have a go and create some quick Birthday cards.

The Theme is Monochromatic - Which for anyone that does not know, using different shades of the same colour and no other colours.

Todays challenge over at The Paper Shelter is a favourite of mine "THINGS WITH WINGS' as I just love to colour a Fairy.

The image I have used for my card today is Daisies in Paradise.

I have coloured mainly with Copics and a few Graph-It markers.

I have added a layer of clear Spectrum Noir Glitter pen for a lovely sparkle, unfortunately it never shows in the photos!

I layered papers from my stash and added some die-cut corners.  Finishing off with a Foiled Sentiment.

This week over at The Paper Shelter it is all about Embellishments.

The image I have used this week is Moon Spell which I have coloured with Copics.

I made a mask to do the background with distress inks and then flicked over some metallic white water colour.

I kept the embellishments quite basic just framing with some bling and adding a couple of flowers in the Corner.

So we are back today with a new challenge over at The Paper Shelter

I have used the image Unicornmania.

I have only made this bow card once before, it is from Sandras Scrapshop and really thought it was pretty, so started by cutting out the white blanks on my Silhouette Cameo.

Next I looked through my papers and picked a bunch of co-ordinating papers from a 12 x 12 paper pad I got in Hobby Craft - Sparkle & Shine.

I should have used white paper instead of card, as it is really hard to bend the bow using thick card, but got it stuck together eventually with a glue gun.

Once all my layers were glued together, I coloured my image in shades of blue and purple with my Copics, then added some tiny flowers and some pink leaves also cut on my Cameo.

I have chosen to colour up Olivia using my Copics.  As usual I colour my image first, then design my cards around that, probably not the best way as then I take ages finding matching papers etc.

Well I finally managed to find some after a good 30 minutes searching through all my Paper Pads.

I add a printed sentiment and some leafy die cuts and finished off with liquid pearls in the centre of all the flowers.

Happy Easter everyone, not being a religious person it is all about the Chocolate and getting together with Family for me.

Unfortunately I have Type 2 Diabetes and started a strict no carbs, no sugar diet this weeek, so no chocolate eggs for me this year!!

So onto my card for our Easter challenge, I have used the fab Funny Easter Bunny

I have used Copics to colour him up and some nice pastel tones for the egg, I found a cute background Paper in my stash to finish off my simple Easter Card.

We have a great theme this week over at The paper shelter - GIRL POWER.

My image is Trapezist, doesn't she look fabulous flying through the air.

I have coloured my image with Copics in shades of Green & Purple, I think it is a lovely combo.

I layered up some fab circle dies I purchased at Ally Pally a couple of weeks ago.

I recently sorted out all my dies, so remembered I had a feather that was perfect for this project along with various flowers from my stash.

Its time for a new challenge over at The Paper Shelter .

I have spent a lot of time roaming through the woods his week, as my cat decided to take a ride under the bonnet of an electric car and ended up 13 miles away in the middle of the woods!!  Thankfully on our third search in the woods we found him and he is home and safe, so I thought my image this week was the perfect choice for our theme LET IT BE SPRING, she is Spirit of the Woods.

My image is coloured with Copics and I stayed with 3 main colours for this image to compliment the Pre-coloured background that comes with the image.  Green, Brown & Red.

I added some tiny flowers and butterflies to add some dimension to the card.

Below is my wandering Cat, Cloud, astonished but so happy we found him.
