TPS - This Beautiful Earth

The 22nd of April was World Earth Day and it seems fitting that this weeks challenge at The Paper Shelter  is called THIS BEAUTIFUL EARTH.

I have a bit of an obsession with Toadstools, I think it stems from all the fairy books I read as a child!

So the image I have used this week is A well kept Garden.

I have coloured my image with Copics and used a Posca pen to add white dots to the little guys top to match the Toadstools.

I matted and layered with circles dies and a dotty background.  For embellishment I added some die cut butterflies and a moon (I liked the swirls).  Finally I stamped a sentiment.

Come join us to celebrate out beautiful Earth and be in with a chance for a prize.

TPS - Is it a bird/is it a Plan

This week over at the The Paper shelter we want to see your cards with something that flies.

The image I have chosen to work with is A Cheerful Hummingbird, they are so pretty.

I have coloured my image with Copics.  I have kept a simple layout with just a butterfly and sentiment added.

We would love for you to join our challenge and there are great prizes on offer.

Autumn Mermaid

Today I am delighted to be a guest designer over at The Fairy & The Unicorn Challenge.

If you don't know, their theme is always anything Fantasy, which is just the kind of image I love to work with.

For this challenge I have used an image by Aurora Wings, one of my favourite stamp companies, the image is called AUTUMN MERMAID.

I started by printing my image then creating a mask in order to create a background.  I dusted with blue and green ink to make the sea and yellow and brown for the sand.  I also stamped some seaweed to create the scene.

Then I removed the mask to colour my image with Copics, I chose Autumnal colours for my Autumn Mermaid.  I added some copper stickle dots for a bit of sparkle.

I layered with red card and patterned paper then added a heat foiled sentiment.

Thanks to the team at The Fairy & The Unicorn for inviting me to be a guest designer.
