TPS Challenge 473 - Flowers

Hi Everyone, hope you have been enjoying the beautiful weather here in the UK.

It's so lovely to finally see the flowers start to bloom, which brings me nicely to this weeks challenge over at The Paper Shelter, which is all about Flowers.

I chose the image Incantation to work with this week, mainly because I love the background and thought it would be great for our Flowers challenge.

I tried to keep my colouring light to complement the background, which is hard for me as I sometimes go a little dark.

I used copics to colour my image and then added some pink and white flowers from my stash.

The sentiment was printed and cut using my Cameo and edged with a little copic.

I took this darker picture so you could see the sparkle on her wings for which I used a clear Spectrum Noir sparkle pen.

Now it's your turn, pop over to the challenge blog for lots of lovely inspiration from my Teamies and we would love to see your creations featuring Flowers in the challenge and you could win a great prize too.

Untiil next time, have a great week and thanks for visiting.

TPS Challenge 471 - Embellishments

Hi Everyone, it is time for a new challenge over at The Paper Shelter and this week is all about embellishments.  There are so many options with embellishments, flowers, die cuts, sparkles, the list is endless.

My image this week is the adorable Unicornmania.

I have coloured my image with Copics and used Papers from a Hobbycraft stack called "Sparkle and Shine'

For my embellishments I added flowers using  Sue Wilson dies, these have been layered and a little gem added to the centre.

I couldn't resist a little bling, so added some sticky back gems from my stash.

Pop over to the challenge blog for lots of lovely inspiration from my Teamies and we would love to see your embellished creations in the challenge and you could win a great prize too.

See you next time x

TPS Challenge 469 - A Shaped Card

So Summer is hopefully on it's way and we know how important Bees are, so I thought I would use The Queen Bee for this weeks challenge inspiration for The Paper Shelter, which is all about shaped cards.

She is so cute just chilling on her Flower.

I have coloured her with Copics, just sticking to three main colours, Yellow, Green and Black, although I used many different shades.

Her wings have been dusted with Clear Spectrum Noir sparkle pen, I wish it would show on the image, it look so sparkly.

The Paper Shelter Challenge 467 - A Birthday Card

Today I am so excited to share with my 1st card as a part of the Design Team for the The Paper Shelter.

I have been a TPS fan for many years and have accumulated quite the collection of their images, so it is a great joy to finally join all the other ladies on their Design Team.

Our challenge theme this week is 'A Birthday Card", so I have used this sweet fairy image called 'Did you ask for a Fairy?', I love a fairy so think this is a perfect image to start my TPS journey on.

As usual my image is coloured with Copics and all other papers, ribbons, embellishments are from my stash.

Now that you have seen my card, I would love for you to come and join the current challenge over at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog the Theme is 'A Birthday Card', you can enter up to 3 times but one of these must be with a TPS image.

If you win using one of our images you can win a $30 gift certificate, or without a TPS image you can win 3 digital images of your choice.

Dusk

Today I have been getting inky, I watched a tutorial by Tracey Dutton of Lavinia Stamps and thought would attempt a version.

I used Brushos and Distress Oxides for the background and Verafine Clair ink for the stamping, I also added a little white posca pen dotted around.  I struggled with the reflections as I was using the wrong paper and it was breaking down with the water colours I was trying to use.

My first card is using Lavinia Stamps, Wishing Tree and Toadstools.

For my second card I used Card-io stamps to create my scene.

Fairy and the Wizard

I have had several Paper Shelter images in my stash for such a long time and have never gotten around to colouring them, so due to a computer problem with work, I decided to print a few and have a play.

The card I am sharing today is an image called The Fairy and the Wizard, which I thought would be perfect for an Anniversary card for my Hubby.

The image is coloured with Copics and I added to the tree branch to make a tree as the image is so wide.

I used a mask I made on my silhouette cameo with some distress inks to create the dreamy clouds in pink and blue.

Her wings are shimmering with clear spectrum noir sparkle pen.

Finally, I matted and layered to create my card and added a stamped sentiment.

Thanks for visiting.
