TPS Christmas Car

It's time for a new challenge over at The Paper Shelter and it is also the time of year when we start thinking about Christmas.

So with this in mind, this weeks challenge is 'Christmas Card'.

I have used the image The Most Adorable Snowmen and they are so adorable.

I started by printing my image twice and fussing cutting one copy to make a mask, this enabled me to ink my Northern lights background, without getting ink on the snowmen.

Once my sky was done, I removed the mask and coloured my image with Copics.

I felt the scene needed something a little extra, so I stamped a Christmas Tree, again masking off my main image, and added liquid pearls for baubles and a little wooden star to the top.

I created some texture to my snow using fluffy puffy stuff, which swells when you heat it.

I am looking forward to see all your Christmas Cards over on the challenge blog, where you are always in with a chance to win a prize.

Card io Christmas

After a lot of procrastinating, this weekend I finally started on my Christmas Cards using the wonderful Card-io Stamps.

I started all my cards by using either a bauble or circle mask and using Distress inks to create my take on Northern Lights, I just find them so mesmerising and would love to see them for real.

Once I was happy with the sky, I used another mask to make the snowy hills.

Finally I set to work with the Stamps using Versafine Clair ink.  I have several sets of stamps and just mixed and matched which ones I thought would look nice together.

You can't see in the photos but there is clear spectrum sparkle pen over parts of the snow that give a lovely sparkle.

Three down, a load more to go, but now I have started I want to keep going.

TPS Bookmark

It's new challenge time over at The Papershelter and this weeks challenge is to make a bookmark.

I have always loved to read, but nowadays it is mainly on my Kindle and no bookmark is needed, so I have made a cute girly one for my Niece.

The image I have used is Fairy Tales and she has been coloured with Copics.

I used one of the sentiments from the Silhouette store and printed onto some designer papers, which I mounted onto some Lilac card stock

We would love to see your creations over on the Challenge Blog
