Lady Butterfly

It's been a couple of months since we had a new showcase over at Aurora Wings, but the team is back today with a DOUBLE RELEASE  of two beautiful 'Lady Butterfly' images.

I have done both of my projects A4 size to be displayed  in my dining room.

I coloured the main image with Copics and then masked her off to create a background with distress oxide inks.  On this first image I made my mask a little too big for the image (too scared of ruining the colouring).

Once the background was dry, I spritzed with perfect pearls.

Then finally adde some flowers using gold gilding flakes and dotted with liquid pearls.

  1. Oh Julie! This is so gorgeous in the colors you've chosen. I think the mask makes her look like she's glowing and the added gilding and Liquid Pearl detail is just magical! Fabulous! Can I come for dinner? xxD
