Digi Choosday week 39

I have had so much fun making up this weeks DT card for Digi Choosday.

It is another christmas card, but the base I used was a design from Sandras Scrap Shop and is just perfect for my chosen image from Work and Play 5 - Festive Holybobs.

The colour scheme of Pink and Mint green was suggested to me by one of our Facebook members 'Margaret Ronan'.

I Coloured my image with Copics and added some pearl and flower embellishments and also some lovely mint green lace.

I hope I have inspired you with an alternative Christmas colour scheme and look forward to seeing you at the challenge blog, which is always ANYTHING GOES.

Winnie Wednesday Halloween

Have you seen the cute new Halloween images at Polkadoodles  - Winnie Wednesday Halloween.

They come in both coloured and B & W and have some fabulous papers and sentiments to match.

Usually I colour my images, but time is short this week and that is the beauty of Polkadoodles and the pre-coloured images.

So todays card was uber quick, using a paper, sentiment and pre-coloured image, together with a couple of elements form the Silhouette store and an Organza Bow.

Lady Butterfly 2

Our second Showcase image is another gorgeous 'Lady Butterfly' which I have done in shades of blue, green and yellow.

This time around I made the mask smaller and did the Distress Oxide background first.

She is once again Coloured with Copics with a large dose of Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle on those beautiful wings.

Hopefully you can see the sparkle in her wings below.

Lady Butterfly

It's been a couple of months since we had a new showcase over at Aurora Wings, but the team is back today with a DOUBLE RELEASE  of two beautiful 'Lady Butterfly' images.

I have done both of my projects A4 size to be displayed  in my dining room.

I coloured the main image with Copics and then masked her off to create a background with distress oxide inks.  On this first image I made my mask a little too big for the image (too scared of ruining the colouring).

Once the background was dry, I spritzed with perfect pearls.

Then finally adde some flowers using gold gilding flakes and dotted with liquid pearls.

Digi Choosday Week 38

This week the team were asked to make a CAS card and I knew just the collection I wanted to use, the adorable Lil Miss Sugarpops - The image is from the Mini Download 1 and I think it is my favourite Sugarpop.

I have been obsessed by Unicorns Since I was little, so this card was inspired by my inner child.

I created the layout in Silhouette with a sentiment from the Sil store and then coloured with Copics.

I wanted a really girly colour hairs, so once I had laid down a pale pink with Copics, I used various, blue, pink and purple Spectrum Noir pencils to create the texture and colour of the hair.

Finally I added a load of sparkle to the stars and horn with a Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen, because Unicorns sparkle, right?

We would love to see you enter our ANYTHING GOES challenge and also share your creations on our Facebook pages, you can find all the links below.

Digi Choosday Week 36

Welcome to a new DIGI CHOOSDAY challenge which as always is ANYTHING GOES.

You know by now that the design team doesn't get it that easy and are given a theme to follow, this weeks theme is 'MALE'.

I am not a fan of male cards, I am usually pretty stumped, which is not good, with a family of Nephews, Dads, Step Dads, my Son and all his male Friends, and get this I work in a Car Dealership ( I make everyones birthday cards) and it is mainly male, so really I should be a pro!!

Anyway, Polkadoodles makes it easier for me with their fun images, for this challenge I have used Gamer from Work and Play 2, perfect for all my sons friends, who are all crazy about gaming.

I coloured my image with Copics and made an easel card with Kraft and put some funky arrow papers from my stash on the front.  I also added a Playstation controller from the Silhouette store to complete my gamers card.

Would love to see you enter our challenge which runs for 2 weeks and of course Prizes!!!

Also every Tuesday there is a discount code posted along with the challenge, fab for all the new images Polkadoodles have released recently.

Pink Pansy

It's an anything goes challenge over at Aurora Wings and I thought I might try some colours that are a little out of my comfort zone.

I chose Pansy Sprite, which was a freebie a little while ago.  I had a search on google and found a pansy in unexpected colours.

So had a little attempt with these colours, it started fairly well, but I think the shades of pink I chose didn't quite work as expected, still it is always a lesson learnt.

To keep with the bold colour choice I used a mixture of die cuts in pink and orange to complete my card.

Poppy Mouse

We have a new challenge over at Colour Crazy Challenge and this week we have two lovely sponsors.

I have chosen to work with Poppy Mouse by Di's Digi Stamps.

I coloured the lil mouse first using Copics and to get the texture,  once the ink was dry I put a little surgical spirit on an old flannel and dabbed a couple of times.

Once the mouse was dry I coloured the remainder of the image with Graph-it Markers.

I cut a swing card template and added a few odds of patterned paper.
