Twin Girls

Today is my final challenge inspiration for Colour Crazy Challenge, Unfortunately due to work commitments I have had to cut down on my Design Team work for next year,

But just want to say it has been a pleasure to work with all the wonderful ladies on the Design Team this past year.

So onto the challenge, as always it is ANYTHING GOES and our sponsor is the wonder Crafty Ribbons.

I seem to have been making an awful to of new baby cards this month, so here is one I have made for a set freshly baked Twins.

The beautiful image is by Mo's Digital Pencil and coloured with Copics.

I used Kraft and so designer papers to layer up my card and embellished with roses by Rainbow Resins, finished off with a wooden heart and a hand tied polka dot bow.

Happy Crafting and have a wonderful 2018.

Its is the final Digi Choosday of 2017 and this week we want to thank everyone who visits, comments and enters our challenges.

So my thank you card features a pre-coloured image from Winnie Sugar Sprinkles

I started by taking a 12 x 12 paper and just folding it and created this fab frame for my image.

I decorated with gems, resin flowers and a big bow, finally adding Winnie to the centre and also a sentiment from the same collection.

Don't forget to go grab todays DISCOUNT CODE from the Challenge Blog.

Digi Choosday Week 50

Not long until the new year, so for this weeks DT inspiration at DIGI CHOOSDAY I have created a tag calendar, using loads of images from some of the wonderful collections at POLKADOODLES.

For the front I have merged images from Serenity, Darlin Buds, Octavia Frosted Winter and some butterflies from Winnie Special Occasions.

The tags are almost A4 size and the blank months are from the Silhouette Store.  I printed them on different coloured card stock for each quarter of the year.

Next I choose some of my favourite images from the collections and added to the front of each month.  I tried to match images to the seasons.

 January - Helga Hippo
February - Lily Love Bug
March - Winnie Fruit Punch

April - Lil Miss Sugar Pops
May - Darlin Buds Tulip
June - Winnie Special Moments
July - Winnie Starfish & Sandcastles
August - Winnie Starfish & Sandcastles
September - Winnie Fruit Punch

October - December - Winnie White Christmas

There are so many wonderful collections and you can find them all HERE

Digi Choosday Week 49

I really enjoyed colouring this beauty up for this weeks DIGI CHOOSDAY inspiration, which was "Winter Birthday/Colours".  So I kind of went for a Red and Green combo, but somehow ended up with a purple present!

She is from Winnie Fruit Punch and coloured with Copics.

We would love to to see enter our ANYTHING GOES challenge.

2018 Calendar

I don't now where the time goes to at the moment, I forgot all about our new challenge at Aurora Wings and so I have to confess that this weeks make was very last minute.

The theme is anything but a card - so due to lack of time I went for the quickest thing I could think of.

I have created a 2018 calendar for myself and I could't resist colouring up the cute Reindeer Sprite again, to add to the bottom.

As I said it was a very last minute and quick project, so no embellishments etc, just a printed calendar with Reindeer Sprite, but it will be so handy in my craft room.

If you pop over to the challenge blog, my teamies have some beautiful makes this week.

Christmas Sprite Showcase

Who doesn't love an Aurora Wings Sprite?  Well over on the showcase today we have three new ones, just perfect for Christmas or Winter.

First up is Sugar Plum Sprite - I am sure any little girl would love her.  I tried to do a mirror image, so it looks like she is practising in front of a mirror.

This next cutie is Snowflake Sprite - I have used Copic B60's to colour her and added loads of Glitter drops and Spectrum Noir Sparkle, I put her on a black background so she is floating through the night sky.

The last Showcase image is 'Hot Cocoa Sprite', complete with lil marshmallows in his mug.
Again I have coloured with Copics and added to a mug shaped card, in my favourite colour.

I added some gold washi tape to add sone interest to the mug.

You can find all the new releases with the following links:-

You can also find this adorable Reindeer Sprite in the shop

I think I am going to use this one for my little boys Christmas card.  The wreath was stamped in versa fine ink,  using Card-io stamps

Finally there a a great discount you can use with purchases this weekend.

Digi Choosday Week 48

Yay, it's Tuesday and that means a new challenge begins over at DIGI CHOOSDAY, as usual the theme is ANYTHING GOES.

This week I tried something I have been wanting to attempt for a while, a northern lights scene with distress inks.

I tried it a couple of times on black card and was really pleased with the results, but the image just didn't look right on black.

So I attempted (Several times) doing it on a white background and here is the final result.

The sweet Reindeer are from Octavia Frosted Winter and coloured with Copics.

Don't forget to head over to the Challenge Blog to grab todays discount code.  We would also love to see you enter our challenge.

Oh Christmas Tree

So for the new challenge at Colour Crazy Challenge, we are sponsored by the wonderful Polka doodles.

Inspired by the monthly lessons over at Kit & Clowder, I decided to create a whole scene around my image Winnie Leaving Mince Pies from Winnie White Christmas.

Here is the image before I began.

I pulled the image into the Silhouette Studio Software and began building a scene around her.

Once I was happy I printed her and set to work with my Copics,  then added some gems to the Christmas tree and here is my final result.

The only item digitally coloured is the star wall paper.

Digi Choosday Week 47

This week at DIGI CHOOSDAY, the team were asked to do a Christmas Project without Red or Green.  Perfect for me as I rarely use the traditional colours.

I visited my Sister recently who had just had an IPhone case delivered and it came in a cute little box, which she was about to through out, so I nabbed it covered it with Christmas Paper  and  set to work finding an image to use.

I settled on one of the sweet Winnie images from Winnie White Chrismas and coloured her in bright Pink/Purple with Copics, to match the paper, then added plenty of Spectrum Noir Sparkle to the white elements to complete my image.

I added her to the box with a hand tied Organza bow and filled the box with Chocolate coins, I may have nibbled a few in the process (Well they wouldn't all fit in!!)

I hope I have inspired you to try some different colours for  Christmas this year.

Northern Lights

I have wanted to try making a Northern Lights scene on black card since I saw the technique demonstrated on the Inkylicious stand at Ally Pally last year.

Finally I have got around to having a play and I am loving the effect.

I coupled it with an SVG cut by Lavinia Stamps, you cannot see from the photo, but I have added clear sparkle pen to their wings, which looks lovely against the black.

I created a paper stencil to do the snowdrifts in white ink and also dotted a little white gel pen for some brightness.

Digi Choosday Week 46

This week at Digi Choosday, the team are making it SPARKLE with our DT inspiration, but our challenge is always ANYTHING GOES, of course you can play along with the theme if you wish.

I have used the cute Snowmen with their lil doggie friend for my card.  The image is from Winnie White Chrismas - I just love this collection.

I went with a standard 8 x 8 card and covered with a lovely blue snowflake paper by LOTV.

I placed my image inside a snow-globe shape and then cut this out along with a blue layer for behind.

I added glitter card to the base of the snow-globe for some sparkle and also a glitter covered sentiment and snowflake.

I couldn't resist a more sparkle for the falling snow, which is a White Opal liquid pearls and also some SN sparkle pen over the snow and edges of the snowmen.

This sweet image is coloured with Copics.

Orchidia II

For my second  Aurora Wings Showcase project, I have created a card with the elegant "Orchidia II'.

The image is coloured with Copics and I used papers from a 'Memory Lane'.

Finishing off with some chipboard corners and butterfly.

You can find my Queen Moth Showcase HERE.

This image is available in store Orchidia 2

Queen Moth

We have another double showcase for you today at Aurora Wings

The first is another stunning fantasy image called 'Moth Queen'.  I am so loving these latest releases, they are just the kind of image I love to colour.

I have done her in the same style as the previous three and also at A4 size.

I really like the effect of the Distress Oxide backgrounds they look so magical. I always like to use co-ordinating colours, I think too many colours sometimes take away from the main image.

I have used Wilted Violet and Worn lipstick oxides for this project.
The main image is coloured with Copics in the BV, R & RV groups, with just a hint of green & yellow.

She is available in store:-

You can find my other Showcase image 'Orcidia II' HERE.

Thanks for looking and I hope you will check all the other inspiration on the Showcase Blog.

Digi Choosday Week 45

Tuesday already and time for a new challenge at Digi Choosday.

I have used the adorable Reindeer Winnie from Winnie White Christmas to create an accordion fold card.

The main image is coloured with Copics,  in non-traditional colours this time - Pink and Teal.

I used a stepped accordion fold for the card shape from the Silhouette store and covered with some white and silver snowflake embossed papers that I have had for so long, I can't even remember where they came from.

The only embellishment is a large glitter snowflake and a sentiment from the same collection.

For the outside I tied it with some lovely Teal satin Ribbon.

Recycled

It's time for a new challenge over at Aurora Wings and our theme this fortnight is 'Recycled".

So we would like to see projects where you have Re-used Re-cycled or Re-Purposed something.

I have been making light bottles for quite a while now as gifts for friends, so I thought I could use one of the empty bottles I have scattered around.  But this time I have used different colours of Alcohol inks to colour my bottle.

As it is a gift I made a bottle tag using the latest giveaway image "Wine Sprite" and added my own sentiment.

My little sprite is coloured with Copics.

To re-purpose the wine bottle I started by generously dabbing the ink on the bottle in blue, once the bottle was fully covered I went over again in green and as the ink hits the ink already on the bottle it separates into big bubbles of colour.

Once it was all dry I sprayed with glitter varnish and added a vinyl sentiment.

Finally I placed some fairy lights inside and added an oversized bow.

Thanks for stopping by, I do hope you enter our latest challenge.

I created the text in silhouette and finally added some glitter stars.

Digi Choosday Week 43

We are all about Christmas this week at DIGI CHOOSDAY, but the team were challenged to make anything but a card, but for you it is an ANYTHING GOES challenge.

Last year I made some lovely little coasters using Winnie Winterland, they were a hit with my family and I ended up giving a set to my Sister and Mum.

So this year I have made a new set (which I hope to keep for myself) using the new Winnie White Christmas.

I  used the pre-coloured images and glued to plain wooden coasters.  Once it was fully dry, I sanded around the edges to remove the excess paper and then sprayed with Iridescent varnish to seal.

They are so simple to make, but look great with all the sparkle.

Queen of the Forest

My second post today is part of the new Showcase over at Aurora Wings.

The beautifully elegant "Queen of the Forest".  She was such a joy to colour and will be added to a frame later to add the last showcase images.

I have coloured in A4 size with Copics.

As with the Fairies in the last showcase, I have used distress oxides to create the background in Fossilised Amber, Worn Lipstick and Cracked Pistachio.  I went around the edge with an Adirondack in in Red Pepper.

Once it was all dry, I added some splashed of Gansai Tambi Gold watercolour paint.

She is available to purchase HERE
