with these two fabulous prizes:-

Hero Arts Fancy Friendship Stamp Sheet

and 'Our Friendship' single stamp

I am so excited that one of our sponsors this week is Saturated Canary, as I love to use Krista's beautiful stamps.

This time I have used the lovely Harley & Haley to create my friendship card.

As usual I have coloured it up using Promarkers and have tried to stick to just 2 colours, Pink & Turquoise, which I think work lovely together.  I have also tried blonde hair for the 1st time!

The base card is an 8 x 8 scalloped card (this is the size I prefer to use) I have then popped a sheet of Papermania Sweet Owl paper on top.

Over this I placed some lace and a doillie sprayed with iridescent glitter.  I cut a couple of matching frames using my Cricut 'Storybook' Cartridge and stamped a sentiment from LOTV.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I think the butterfly is Magnolia Doohickey, the leaves were also cut using the Cricut Cartridge 'Flower Shoppe'.

Promarkers Used:

Hair - Buttercup, Raw Sienna, Egg Nog
Skin - Vanilla, Blush, Dusty Pink
Haley - Blush, Dusty Pink, Cool Grey 1 & 2
Pink Clothing - Blossom, Carnation, Fushia, Tropical Orchid
Turquoise Clothing - Cool Aqua, Duck Egg, Marine, Tea Green

You & Me

Hi All, we have all been under the weather in my house this last week, me with Flu and my bubba with Shingles, thankfully we are both on the mend now.

So as I havn't been crafty this week, I thought I would share a card I made a couple of months ago for a friends wedding.

I have used the lovely You and Me from Tiddly Inks

I mainly coloured using Spectrum Noirs on this one, as I have some great greys, for the dress I wanted to keep it mainly white, so I just added a tiny bit of Promarker Blossom Pink and then some crystals to dress it up a little.

The background was a freebie, but I didn't make a note of who's (please let me know if it is yours so I can credit you).

The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and the sentiment has been stamped and heat embossed, then I added a pink organza bow to finish.

Also check out the great Tiddly Inks and Make it crafty Blog Hop Egyptian Blog Hop over the next 2 days.

Challenges I would like to enter:

Divas by Design - Put  on some Pink
Whoopsi Daisy - Buttons or Bows

Crafty CardMakers Challenge 85: Blooming

I am so excited to have joined the talented design team at Crafty Cardmakers and to share my first DT card.

It is for this weeks Challenge No 85: Blooming images hosted by Marie and sponsored by

We would love it if you came and joined in the fun HERE and check out all the lovely cards by our Design Team.

Straight away I knew I wanted to use either an Orchid or a Lily, my two favourite flowers, but finding an image I liked was not so easy.

I finally found this beauty by Oak Pond Creations, It is a Stargazer Lily, just what I was looking for.

I did find this a little tricky as I have never attempted to colour an image of a flower before and my first choice was to pick some lovely pinks, but after a few combinations I just could not get the look I wanted.

So after a few coffees and a trawl on the internet looking at pictures of lillies I came across the Tiger Lily which is orange in Colour and very striking, so this is the route I took and here is the finished card.

I used a feathering action on the petals to try and get the blending right, which hopefully you can see in the photo below

I used the following Promarkers:

Flowers - Amber, Pumpkin, Pastel Yellow & Spice
Leaves - Forest Green & Lime Twist
I layered and cut some Cardstock using my Woodware Fingerguard Trimmer (Princess Blade) and added some Cricut die-cut Swirls (Cindy Loo) which I  coloured with my Promarkers to match the lilies.

I also coloured some flat back pearls to match.

I hope I have inspired you to have a go and join us this week at Crafty Cardmakers

Red Headed Honey

I had a request from a friend this week for a girlie card, but I needed to make her a red head.

I have never done red hair before, so I grabbed all my pens and tried a few combos, then set to work.

I used the gorgeous Honey by Krista from Saturated Canary.   I decided to make her super bright and used some of my favourite Pinks & Purples to make her pop and this is the result.

I must say I am pretty pleased with how she turned out for a first attempt.

Just added this with my new camera - Much clearer.
