Aurora Wings Double Showcase Part 2

Welcome to the second Aurora Wings  Showcase of the day, I have to say I absolutely loved coloring this beauty.


Say hello to JELLYFISH SPRITE isn't she just adorable.  She is most definitely my favourite of all the Sprites.

I have used Copics to bring this little cutie to life.


I printed her on a  blue ombre background which I then stamped with a Polka Doodles bubble stamp.

Finishing with some pearls and a brush of Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen over her head then adding a lovely seahorse I cut on my Cameo.

Aurora Wings Double Showcase Part 1

It's Showcase time over at Aurora Wings and this time Mitzi has given us two stunners to Showcase.

First up we have a full A4 sized Snowqueen, I really wanted to capture a feeling of sparkling ice, which I think I achieved, but as always when you photograph it, those sparkles hide!!



I used Kuratake Gambsi watercolors for the background in blue, pink and white gold shimmer.

The main image is coloured with Copics, then I used a silver and metallic blue gel pen for the icicles, which show up much better in the closeup below.

Wandering Star

It's Digi Chooseday and this week we have gone all Christmassy, using a colour palette of blue and white, these are my favourite Christmas colours, I am not really one for the traditional red and green.

Of course the challenge this week is ANYTHING GOES and there is a great discount code over on the Challenge Blog, which you can use to buy one of the fab Polka Doodles Chrismas images, there are so many lovelies to choose from.



This is how my project started, with a £1.00 wall hanging from the local B & M Stores.


Using papers and the 'Wandering Star' Image from Octavia Frosted Winter I turned it into this lovely Christmas Decoration.


I started by printing the paper out and glueing it to the sign, once dry I trimmed the edges and added some ultra fine crystal glitter.

I fussy cut the image on my cameo and coloured her with Copics and a silver metallic gel pen.


I then picked a nice christmas sentiment and cut in blue vinyl.

Finally adding a few snowflake gems and a large snowflake or the corner.

Crackers!

Welcome to another Digi Choosday challenge, this week the design team were challenged with making a Chrismas decoration with the classic Red & Green colour Palette. REMEMBER our challenge is now ANYTHING GOES and of course if you pop over to the challenge blog, there will be a lovely Choosday Discount Code.

For a change I have not coloured for my project and opted to use some of the gorgeous pre-colored images from Octavia Frosted Winter.

I decided to make a start on some Crackers ready for our Christmas table.



I used a lovely sage green snowflake paper from the Octavia collection and duplicated it and colorized it to red in Silhouette Studio.  I then printed on light Pearlescent card, so it has a lovely sheen to it and cut with my trusty Cameo.

The rest was fairly simple, just using the pre-made images and holly from the collection to decorate.
I finished with some organza ribbon a little red gem for the holly berries and a tiny tree button.

Snow White

For this weeks Digi Choosday inspiration the DT were given the challenge to use ribbon and/or lace on our projects, but don't forget the challenge for you is ANYTHING GOES.

I have used one of the first Polka Doodles Images that I ever coloured the beautiful Snow White, I think she is also one of my Favorites.
I used Copics for my image, I ended up using well over 50 different colours for this image and completely lost track of my colours (again), but I am over the moon with how she turned out. I even managed to save her after a major a pen leak!!

I hand tied a lime green organza bow and cut some tattered lace corners and finished with some flowers from my stash.

Mermaid Lagoon

It's time for a new Challenge over at Aurora Wings, we have a great challenge this fortnight FANTASY,  so plenty of scope to use all the fab Sprites, Mermaids and Maidens.

I have used the sweet ''Sea Turtle Kiss' - Available here.

I started by spraying my background with Sprinkys in Aegean Sea and Dylusions in Dirty Martini.  Once dry I specked with gold Kuretake Gansai water colour in Gold and finally spritzed with perfect pearls for an iridescent sheen.

I used Copics for my little mermaid and pencils for the turtle.


I added various diecuts and some Fimo Clay shells to complete my Mermaid Lagoon and a sentiment in Gold Vinyl cut on my Silhouette Cameo.
