My card for the new challenge at
Open-Minded Crafting Fun is a lovely image by
Faeryink called 'Playful Moon'.
It is a photo inspiration challenge, which I completely forgot about and only remembered after I had made the card. Thankfully I think I have picked up on the bright blues and pinks in the photo.
A couple of weeks back I attempted a night sky, but was not happy with the results, so this was an opportunity to try a different approach, which needs some work, but I am much happier with it.
I did my first no lines coloring and then went around the entire image with Copic W9, which is a really dark grey, then I sprinkled drops of blending solution over the top to get the bubbly effect.
Next I added some silver stars and dots with a silver pen.
For the background I misted my card with some sprinkys from
Inkylicious and some perfect pearls for some shine, I was trying to get an outta space galaxy kind of feel.
I finished with some silver vinyl stars, flowers, sparkly goosebumps and a sentiment drawn with silhouette sketch pens.
