Good Luck

Today is new challenge day over at Open-Minded Crafting Fun and our theme is Luck.

I chose to make a Good Luck in your new home card using an image by Digi Stamps 4 Joy called 'Toadstool House', its so cute and reminded me of a childhood fairy story I loved.

I started by creating a cloverleaf word art file in Tagul, then decided I would frame it in some lovely green card.

To carry on the clover theme I added some corner dies from the silhouette store.

My little house was colored with copies and also cut out on the silhouette Cameo.

Colour me Wonderful

Last weekend the Kit & Clowder Facebook group celebrated it's 1 year anniversary.

For those of you that don't know (I'm sure most of you do though) Kit and Clowder is a wonderful coloring community led by the fabulous Alyce Keegan. It is a fun and friendly group celebrating all forms of coloring.

You can also purchase the most fantastic colouring classes.  I am currently working on the skin and hair class, it's taking me a while (lack of time with a little on and work), but I am slowly getting towards the end, then hopefully I can start the Pencil classes.

This was my entry into the fun Oscars they held and I was lucky enough to be a nominee for my hair, so hopefully that means my coloring is improving.

The lovely image is 'Colour me Wonderful' by Saturated Canary and she has been colored with Copics.

The Papers are First edition - sweet owl, the ivy and roses are tattered lace dies and the flowers WOC.

Lingerie Lindsay

Today I am sharing my Hubbys Valentines card using an image by Sassy Studio Design, she is available free on their Facebook page to enter their monthly progressive challenge.

The Image was colored with Copics.

The Heart easel card is a freebie from Birds Cards, the sentiment is from the silhouette store and I then welded it to a heart and cut in paper to add to the easel base.

The card is held up by a sparkling diamonte heart, from Chloes Cards.

Up in the Air

The new challenge this fortnight at Open-Minded Crafting Fun is 'Up in the Air' and we would love to see your interpretations.

For my card I worked with an image from A Day for Daisies called 'Fairy Swing'.

I imagined her swinging high over a field of flowers.

The paper is First Edition, Spring drop and the branch die cut is from the silhouette store.

I have used a mix of Copics and pencils to colour the image with a little wink on stella on her wings - love that stuff.

To celebrate achieving 2000 members to the Aurora Wings Facebook Group, we are having a little weekend celebration.

It will be full of fun, games, competitions and of course the chance to win some of Mitz's beautiful images.

The celebration is starting with a lovely freebie, which I have already had a chance to play with, I'm so lucky :)

It really made me think of spring time, so I choose a lime green background (Papermill card) and added some clouds with distress ink.

The fur babies were all colored with Copics.

 I love tabby cats, I lost my fur baby a couple of years ago, so he inspired me with the kitty.

Moon Goddess

It's new release day over at Aurora Wings and time for a new showcase with this lovely image called 'Moon Goddess'.

It was such a beautiful image to colour, I used my Spectrum Noir Pencils for this image, using shades of blue, purple and pink.

For the background I used an aqua brush and Distress Inks.

I used a Lavinia Star stamp on the pearlescent pink paper and added some stickles and wink of stella to the image, as usual you can't really see this in the photos, but the tiara and necklace have a lovely glitter effect.

Rose Garden

When I saw the new releases at Polkadoodles called 'Octavia Moonfly', I just had to have them all - oops don't tell hubby.......

So today I finished colouring up my first image, she is called 'Octavia Rose Garden' and I have coloured her with Spectrum Noir Pencils.

I wanted to try coloring on Kraft, but didn't have any, so I used normal card, which is kind of a similar colour.  I am sure the results on the right paper would have been much better.

I also got a bit careless with my base layer of yellow on her dress and followed the lines of her wings, not realizing, until it was too late, it is much more noticeable in the photo, no idea how to fix a pencil mistake???!

I also added a wink of stella to her wings, the ladybugs and punched butterflies.

The frame and tag are both cut on the Silhouette Cameo and the tag was stamped with an old vine stamp I have, finished off with a hand tied bow.

Now on to the next one, they are just adorable, think I will use Copics this time :)
