Happy Christmas Alyce Blog Hop
This post is for a very special lady, who's amazing colouring I have admired for quite some time.
Dear Alyce,
I think I first saw one of your amazing cards on the Tiddly Inks Design team about 2 years ago and secretly started stalking your work and watching all your videos - lol.
I was thrilled when you decided to share your knowledge and creativity with everyone when you created the Kit & Clowder Site, loving the Facebook page too, such great people there - Really must get back to those classes in the new year.
It is a rare thing for someone with so much talent to be willing to share and nurture others to become better and you do it so wonderfully, your group is truly one of the friendliest and most inspiring around.
So, this card was made especially for you
Sweet Lady and wishing you all the very best for 2015.
P.S. I promise to finish my classes next year :)

All White
Todays new challenge at is 'All White'.
I had to really think about this one, as It is very hard to do an all white card, but also incorporate an image of a person.
With this is mind I chose 'Bella Bride Sassy' from Sassy Studio Designs to use for my card, I thought being an image with a white wedding dress would make it a little easier and indeed it did, although I took the liberty of adding pink flowers and of course coloured her skin and hair.
I used Copics to colour the image and then decided to go over the black lines of her dress with a silver metallic gel pen, added a little light grey shading and then went over the entire dress with a clear wink of stella.
I think you can just about see the twinkle on the dress in this photo. I also added some ultra fine glitter to her flowers.
I am so happy with how this turned out, just need a bride to send it to now!
Thanks for stopping by and please check out all the lovely creations by my teamies.

I used a snowflake embossing folder for the base layer and then cut a rose heart to go on top with a smaller heart and sentiment.
I also added a little love banner, which like the rose heart is from the Silhouette store.
I added this photo as although it is dark you can see the layers a little better.
I finished with a few gems across her dress and on the hearts for some sparkle

Christmas Card Swap
Over at the Kit & Clowder Facebook page there is a lovely christmas card swap going on.
We were given a random member to create and send a card to and now my card has been received I can share.
I cut the layers on my Cameo, I wanted to create a little forest scene background and decided to add a lampost as a reference to the Narnia books, which were a childhood favourite.
The snowflakes are a die I borrowed from my Sister and the Ivy is a tattered lace die.
The little skater is from The Paper Shelter and she has been coloured with Copics.
I used a clear wink of stella pen on the white parts of her outfit, but it does not show so clearly in the photos, it just added a nice shimmer. I also added some fine glitter to the little wooden reindeer.
This is the little message I had from the recipient, so glad she liked it.
Hi i have been away for a few weeks as my grandchildren were ill and i came home to happy mail !! yay. I received the most beautiful card and generous gifts i cannot thank Julie Reed enough.
All i can say is i came home feeling quite down but my happy mail cheered me up so i thank you julie from the heart.xx

Open-Minded Crafting Fun - Unusual Christmas
Morning everyone, it is new challenge day over at Open-Minded Crafting Fun and the new theme is 'Unusual Christmas'.
Unfortunately I completely missed the mark on this one and the idea in my head didn't really end up so much unusual as fairly typical. I even convinced myself I was using untraditional colours, Teal and Pink, but really it has ended up looking Red and Green.
Anyway, even though I missed the point, I still really like the end result.
I started by using my Cameo sketch pens to draw the snowflake swirls and words.
I then put the paper through my printer and added this cute image by A&T Digital Designs called 'The Larkins'.
I have coloured the image with Copics and added a few elements with glitter gel pens.
Finishing off with some snowflake die cuts and goosebumps gems.
I hope you will come and join us and perhaps have better luck interpreting the theme than I die.
As always we have some fab sponsors.
