Moonlight Unicorn

I have been working on this card all week, I really wanted to create my own frame on my Silhouette Cameo, but I was having trouble welding it together.  Eventually I realised my silly mistake and it all worked out fine.

I made an oval and then welded some ferns from the SIL store and Miss Kates Cuttables.

I then created my own card blank again using an oval.

I used a bit of sticky vinyl to mask the moon and then uses ink dusters to brush Adirondack inks over my oval in shades of purple and lilac.  I created some mountains using torn copier paper as a mask.

Finally I stamped a Lavinia Stamps unicorn and some mini flowers to complete my scene and added some mini roses, gems and a bow to finish off my card.

Crafty Cardmakers #110 - Come Fly with me

Viv is hosting today's challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers & More and the theme is:-
 'Come Fly With Me'

She would like to see either birds or something bird related, ie birdcages/houses, as the MAIN focal point of your project.

For my card this week I traced an owl tattoo with my Silhouette cameo and then cut it out in contrasting Brown card stock.

The branch was purchased from the SIL store and cut in black card.

The background was done using Adirondack inks and ink dusters.

I couldn't find a sentiment I liked so I have left it blank for now.

Come and join in for a chance to win one of the following lovely prizes from our sponsors this week.

Exploding Box

Since purchasing my Silhouette Cameo, I have been trying out so many new kinds of cards and this week I decided to play with an exploding box file by Tina Fallon on the Facebook group 'UK Silhouette Cameo chums'.  I am seriously getting addicted to her cutting files :)

My Father in Law is celebrating his 70th Birthday soon, so I decided to theme the box around two of his favourite hobbies - Archery and Steam engines.

These are the separate layers

I used vinyl to cut the black silhouettes and the blue target

I brushed the cake for the centre with clue and green inks and added complementary flowers, gems and a butterfly

The box folded up - I again brushed the outside filigree elements with distress inks

The finished card

I loved making this card and can't wait to try this in a lovely girly style.

This is a mans world

Carole is our host over at Crafty Cardmakers for todays challenge. She has chosen the theme of 'This is a Man's world' A male themed creation. So anything suitable for a man or boy.

I decided to make some cards for the Younger boys in my family.

I merged several digital stamps together by Make it Crafty called 'urban objects' and 'urban elements' to make a background scene and added another digi by Spesch Stamps called 'Headphones'.

It was coloured with a mix of Pro-Markers and Copics.

Sealed with a Kiss

Well valentines day is almost upon us and I was inspired to make my card for Hubby early this year when I saw the Valentines Day Challenge at The Paper Mill.

They are offering a fab prize which you can see here.

My card is made using an SVG cutting file by Tina Fallon, which I found on the Facebook Group UK Silhouette Cameo Chums, she has some gorgeous files for sale there.

All the card I have used, can be purchased at the The Paper Mill.  I used white textured card for the base and filigree cuts and a lovely deep red for the embellishments.

Everything was cut on my Silhouette cameo.  The lips were an image I found and used the trace feature to cut.

The sentiment was a freebie from Gingers House - she has the best sentiments :)

Finally I added a rose I brushed with Red Adirondack ink and a couple of gems to dot the i's.

I hope you like, I really enjoyed making this card - Voting for a winner at the Paper Mill starts on the 10th of February, I would really love it if you voted for me, equally if there is a card you like more they would love a vote too.
