Frosted Winter

Welcome to the latest  Digi Choosday Challenge,  which as always is ANYTHING GOES.  For our DT projects this week, we were asked to use Spots/Stripes.

I have wanted to transform some coasters for a while, and I found some plain wooden ones at B & M, which I thought would be perfect.

Whilst browsing my images, I noticed that some of the papers from Octavia Frosted Winter had stripes on them, so I picked a couple out and merged with the pre-coloured images from this collection along with sentiments.

Once printed, I glued to the coasters and left to dry for a couple of hours.  When they were fully dried I cut close to the edges then sanded them smooth.

I sprayed them with two coats of sparkle varnish to seal.

We would love to see your ATG entries this week and if you pop over to the Challenge Blog today you can pick up todays discount code.

Cold Outside

Time for a new Digi Choosday challenge and this week the DT were challenged to use Green/Red, Windows/Doors.

I was initially going to do a scene through a window, but that didn't leave too much scope for colouring and I really wanted to colour an image this week.

So I had a little look on pinterest and saw several cards that were double opening doors, so i decided to have a go and make my own, I cut all the rectangles and edged with distress ink, before layering them up, I then added a little letterbox, brad door knobs and some mistletoe.

I chose the lovely fireside scene  from Winter Winter Land, to go inside, which I coloured with Copics.

I layered the image onto a lovely paper from the Festive Hollybobs collection to create the wallpaper and also added a framed sentiment as a picture, to finish my cosy living room scene.

Oh Christmas Tree

It's time for a new challenge at Digi Choosday and as always it is an ANYTHING GOES challenge, but the Design Team were challenged to layer it up.

I decided to use another SVG card from Sandras Scrap Shop, this time it is a lovely Layered Pine tree.  The image I have chosen to go with it is the adorable Fairy Christmas from Winnie Winterland.

I cut all the main layers in Kraft card and then used some lovely silver grey christmas DP that I have. I also used this to make the Poinsettia.

I coloured my image with Copics and added a little Spectrum Noir sparkle to her wings.

To finish I added gems, pearls a sentiment and the little swirls behind the Poinsettia are from the new Polka Doodles die Ribbon Frame and corners, they are the ribbon cut in half.

North Pole

This week at Digi Choosday , the team were challenged to make a Christmas card, incorporating Die cuts, I chose an image from the Winnie Hinterland  collection which I coloured up with Copics.

I decided she would look cute with a night sky, so embossed a black card-base with Snowflakes and then brushed with White Ink.

For my die cut element I added a couple of trees, some snowflakes and my sentiment.

Of course the challenge for everyone entering is ANYTHING GOES and to help as always there is a fab discount code on the Challenge Blog today.

Shine Bright

It's time for a new challenge at Aurora Wings this week it is the turn of team Stella and the theme is MY FAVOURITE QUOTE.

I don't really have a favourite quote that comes to mind, so I had a look around the internet and this one stood out to me Dream Big, Shine Bright, Sparkle More.

I have been a member of the Aurora Wings DT Family for a couple of years now and thought it would be nice to go back to the beginning and re-colour my first Aurora Wings image and still one of my favourites 'Gardenia & Pearls', it is such an elegant image.

I kept the design simple and created the wording in Silhouette Studio and layered my coloured image onto it, just adding a simple bow and of course some Sparkles.

My two favourite coloured are teal and orange, so using Copics, I kept to this colour scheme.

To finish the image I used liquid peals in white Opal.

I look forward to reading all your favourite quotes incorporated into your projects.

Snowglobe

It's Digi Choosday once again,  Thank you for all your wonderful comments last week,  the Winner will be announced at the end of this post.

This week the team were challenged to use Red & White for a festive make, but of course for entries to the the challenge it is ANYTHING GOES.

As I said on my last Digi Choosday post I have used an image from the wonderful Winnie Winterland, there are so many great images, but I was drawn to cute 'Candy Cane Winnie'.

I also decided to try and make something 3D, so out of my comfort zone and I applaud my teamies who do this on a regular basis - it was so tricky!

So here is my Snow globe and card combo.

The SVG file is by the wonderful Sandras Scrap Shop, she has the most wonderful templates.

The fab red paper and candy cane is also from the Winnie Winterland collection and the darling snowman from Festive Hollybobs.

All the other embellies are from my stash, I even took some polystyrene balls out of my beanbag for snow balls!

The image is coloured with Copics and the little card actually fits inside the bottom of the snow globe

Don't forget to go grab todays discount code and check out what my team mates have been up to.

Finally, the winner of the Winnie Winterland CD (Chosen randomly by my son) is No 8 Sammi.

Please email me at angelwd@live.com, so that I can pop it in the post to you.
