Digi Choosday Week 44

This week at Digi Choosday out challenge was to use Bright Colours on our project.

I just happened to need an 8th Birthday card for my Sons friend, so this was the perfect project for bright colours.

I used a pre-coloured image from Work and Play 2,  along with a backing paper and border from the collection.

I created the text in silhouette and finally added some glitter stars.

we would love to see you at the challenge blog where the challenges are always ANYTHING GOES, will also be a lovely discount for today.

Digi Choosday Week 43

We are all about Christmas this week at DIGI CHOOSDAY, but the team were challenged to make anything but a card, but for you it is an ANYTHING GOES challenge.

Last year I made some lovely little coasters using Winnie Winterland, they were a hit with my family and I ended up giving a set to my Sister and Mum.

So this year I have made a new set (which I hope to keep for myself) using the new Winnie White Christmas.

I  used the pre-coloured images and glued to plain wooden coasters.  Once it was fully dry, I sanded around the edges to remove the excess paper and then sprayed with Iridescent varnish to seal.

They are so simple to make, but look great with all the sparkle.

You can find all things Polkadoodles below and we hope to see you over on the Challenge Blog.

Queen of the Forest

My second post today is part of the new Showcase over at Aurora Wings.

The beautifully elegant "Queen of the Forest".  She was such a joy to colour and will be added to a frame later to add the last showcase images.

I have coloured in A4 size with Copics.

As with the Fairies in the last showcase, I have used distress oxides to create the background in Fossilised Amber, Worn Lipstick and Cracked Pistachio.  I went around the edge with an Adirondack in in Red Pepper.

Once it was all dry, I added some splashed of Gansai Tambi Gold watercolour paint.

She is available to purchase HERE

Today is a double showcase and if you would like to see my other project " Fins & Pearls" you can find it HERE.

Digi Choosday Week 42

Wow, these Choosdays come around fast!

This week I have been playing with the gorgeous Winnie Wednesday to make my little boy a Halloween card.

I designed the layout in Silhouette Studio and then printed to and coloured Winnie with my Copics.

There was a bit of empty space so I decided to cut out a skeleton and give him some googley eyes.

Finally layering onto some bright green card.

We would love to see your creations over on the DIGI CHOOSDAY CHALLENGE BLOG and if you pop over today there will be a fab discount code you can grab.

Digi Choosday Week 41

This week for me has been so busy, with my day job and organising my Sons 8th Birthday party.

But that is the beauty of using Polkadoodles beautiful pre-coloured images, I can have a cute card made in 10-15 minutes.

So for this weeks Challenge we were asked to make a white card with a hint of colour and the images in the new Winnie White Christmas are perfect with their pastel shades.

I also used a backing paper, sentiment, tree and hearts from the collection (all cut on my Cameo) to bring my card together.

I finished by matting onto  turquoise card and adding a couple of snowflake embellishments.

Our challenges are always ANYTHING GOES and I look forward to seeing all your beautiful creations over on the Challenge Blog.

Digi Choosday Week 40

It's time for a new challenge at DIGI CHOOSDAY and this week the Design Team were asked to make something 'Black, White and one other colour'.  So I decided to go with different shades of blue.

I have chosen Fairy Christmas from Winnie Winterland.

I have wanted to make a shadow box for ages, so I used a basic cutting file from Silhouette and then designed some layers myself, finally adding a small set of led lights between the star layer and back panel.

I cut the sentiment in white vinyl and also added some die-cut Christmas lights.

Here is a lightened image below, so you can see the inside layers.

As always our challenge is ANYTHING GOES or you can join in with our theme.  There is also a fab discount code every Tuesday, posted on the challenge blog.

CAS at Aurora Wings

We are going all CAS (Clean and Simple) for our new challenge at Aurora Wings.

I picked the ever so adorable Winter Sprite to adorn my CAS card.

I began by choosing the sentiment from the silhouette store and changing it to a pale grey and to print only.

I also fussy cut my sprite with my silhouette and coloured her with Copics in the BV & R families.

I couldn't resist adding a couple of gems for a little sparkle.

I can't wait to visit you and see your CAS creations.

Happy Hauntings

We are not big in celebrating Halloween, but we always love to carve a couple of pumpkins.

This year with the new release of Polkadoodles Winnie Wednesday, which is adorable, I decided to make a little wall hanging to put up.

I used some of the Pre-coloured images and then created a little scene of the gang going Trick or Treating.

I used Adirondack Inks for the background and some silhouette die cuts.

I cut the sentiment in Orange vinyl and will add come ribbon to hang up over Halloween.
