Boo & Snookie

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Open-Minded Crafting Fun.

The theme this fortnight is Autumn and I got to work with an image by A&T Digital called Boo & Snookie, I have wanted to colour one of their images for ages, so this was a real joy to do.

I did a print and cut on my Cameo and coloured the image with an assortment of Autumn colours with a mix of Copics & Promarkers.

Layered on various Autumn coloured card the top matt and the leaves are from the silhouette store.

The sentiment is also from the silhouette store and cut on Vinyl.

My 5 year old son also insisted that I add some glossy accents beneath the snail to look like the sticky trail they leave - although it just looks like a used to much glue :)

So here is my interpretation of Mitzi's cute image.

I have coloured with Copics, I tried a new skin tone, but it just would not blend for me (apologies).  I originally cut around the image in a square, then changed my mind and fussy cut it, so it sits better on the backing paper which was a freebie from Halloween costumes, who have quite a few free printables for you to use.

I created the words on my cameo and cut on white Vinyl.

The cute little spiders are from the Silhouette store. Then I finished the corners with some sparkly gems.

Crafty Cardmakers #123 Ribbon/Lace & Pearls

Jackie is hosting the new challenge today over at Crafty Cardmakers and her theme is 'Ribbons/Lace and Pearls', so she would like to see ribbons or lace, {or both} and pearls on your creations.

I have used this super cute Sugar Nellie image which was a freebie this weekend as part of the celebration party at Kit & Clowder - Congrats on the 4000 followers Alyce :).

I coloured her with Copics, then added some sparkly modge podge to the icing, wings and flowers for a little sparkle.

I also added some glossy accents to the cherries to give them a shine.
I used liquid pearls for the cupcake sprinkles and also added some flat back pearls in the corners as well as a heart pearl hatpin in with my flowers.

I did some faux lace accents with my spellbinders lacy border and Tattered lace corners.

All finished off with a hand tied double bow.

We would love you to come an join in with our recipe challenge and we have some great sponsors.

Roll out the Red

Today is a new challenge at Open-Minded Crafting Fun, our new theme is 'Roll out the Red', so we would love to see lots of Red on your projects.

I have chosen to play with an image from one of our sponsors Stitchy Bear Stamps, the image is called 'Fluff' and is by Barbara Jenson.

It's not my usual style of image, but I am very happy with the result.  I think it will make the perfect Valentines card for Hubby next year.

The image was coloured with Copics and mounted onto a lacy frame from the Silhouette Store.

Embellished with flowers from WOC and white pearls, the ribbon was recycled from a gift.

I have no idea who the backing paper is by, it was in a huge pile given to me by my MIL :)
