Snow White

I have always been a sucker for a good fairytale, so it comes as no surprise that I am loving the latest releases at Polkadoodles.

I started this image last week, but with the sad passing of my wonderful MIL at the weekend, as you can imagine my crafty mojo took flight.

I was spurred on to finish it, as she was a card maker too and we loved to look at each others new creations and new crafty buys, this ones for you Jackie!

The image is 'Eden Snow White' and has been coloured with Copics and SN pencils.

I have used several dies the swirl and butterfly are both tattered lace.

The mirror, little book, leaves and frame are from the Silhouette store and cut on my cameo.

I added some liquid pearls to the toadstools and some home made glitter glue on the apple.

I made the glitter glue by mixing Decopatch glossy glue and fine iridescent glitter.

Thanks for looking.

Mermaid Buttercream

It's the final FBF of June at SSD, featuring the lovely Buttercream Babes.

This final image is Buttercream - Little Mermaid.

I have really enjoyed coloring all these Buttercream Babes - but it makes me want Cake!!!

Once again I kept the layout simple to showcase the lovely image, just adding a vinyl wave and a paper bow, both from the Silhouette store.

I used Copics, but had a major bleed when I was doing her hair, so kept it simple and added some silver dots for a fantasy look.

Fingers crossed, Lyndsey comes up with some new Buttercream Babes soon, think I'm addicted, must be the cake monster in me.

There seems to be an awful lot of birthday parties for my little one at the moment, so I wanted to share a couple of Childrens Cards I have made.

I am particularly pleased with this little monster as I created from scratch on my Cameo, although it was inspired by a post on pinterest.

This princess file is from the Silhouette Store as is the Ice-cream Below.

Blinding

Before I get to todays Sassy Studio Design teasers, I wanted to share a quick and easy last minute card for a guy using my Silhouette Cameo and scraps of paper and vinyl.

The saucy lady is actually from a free font 'Pole-Dance' from daft and I have overlaid this with a file from the silhouette store.

Both have been cut in black paper, with the sentiment in Vinyl.

The Darkside

Just wanted to share this years fathers day cards, they have a theme!!!

My first card is for Hubby from our little man.

I created it in the silhouette studio software - using a technique called 'Knockout Text', which basically combines a picture into the words.

I watched this tutotial by Karin Adamczyk to learn the technique, then I cut my design in black and silver vinyl.

Then I made a simpler version for our Dads.

and for the inside

Owl Spirit

It's showcase time at Aurora Wings, which means another beautiful new image from Mitzi.

Today we are showcasing 'Owl Spirit'.

She has been coloured with Copics, I actually used my yellow (not a fan) but I think they look nice with the lilacs and pinks though in the photo you cannot see the shading :(.

Here are a couple of pictures of various stages of creating this card.

She looks so strange without her eyes coloured.

I am not so good at colouring animals so went for a snowy owl - lol not much coloring needed for this one.

I framed her with a lovely flourish frame from the Silhouette store and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

She will be available in the Shop today.
