Meet 'Rose Sprite'.
I really love this image and wanted to create something a little different with her.
I created the flower pot in the Silhouette studio software and cut it out of Kraft card.
Next I went crazy and decided to crop the image 3 times, to place behind the flowerpot to look like a pot of Roses - Wow, that was a lot of Roses to colour, I think in all it took about 5 hours.
I used Copics in a mix of oranges and pinks and am really pleased with the colour I achieved. I lightly went over the top with a pink Prisma colour pencil and also a burgundy pencil for some deeper shading.
I raided my ribbon stash and actually found a ribbon that perfectly matched the color of the Roses.
Finished off with a few gems, a tattered lace corner and a spellbinders butterfly.
I love how this card turned out and am not so sure I can part with it, although my lovely Sister does have her birthday in October and I know she would appreciate the hours spent coloring it :)
Please do go and look at the other wonderful projects on the Showcase Blog by my team mates and if you would like to buy the image it is available here.
Mitzi has also kindly given us a lovely discount code to use at the easy store this weekend.

Julie, this turned out SO BEAUTIFULLY! I LOVE your coloring on the roses - you made them look so lush and silky. The 5 hours you spent coloring all these roses is a labor of love, and from the way your project looks, totally worth it!! Thank you so much for this stunning sample work of art for this new release today. ^_^
