Lady Blossom

We have another beautiful image to showcase today over at Aurora Wings, she is called 'LADY BLOSSOM' and is just covered with beautiful spring flowers.

This was an epic colouring challenge, not only because it is A4, but also because there are so many different flower elements and lots of delicate floating petals.

Last Autumn I started my seasonal canvases and I thought she would make a beautiful spring Canvas for the collection.

I used Distress and Adirondack inks on the image background and also on the canvas behind, I wasn't sure how I was going to merge this one onto a canvas without adding tissue paper and I didn't want to to do that incase I ruined all the hours of colouring.

Instead I opted to glue the original to the canvas, then disguise the join with strips of sparkle to frame her, this way it kind of merges into the canvas.

I finished by adding a few different flower embellishments along the bottom edge, as though she is rising from a  bed of flowers.

Digi Choosday Week 12

Yay, my favourite day of the week is here DIGI CHOOSDAY, we have another new ANYTHING GOES challenge running for the next fortnight.

The Design Team were asked to make something for Mothers Day, but not a card!

I had no idea what to create, I was going to do a framed image, but I have done a few of these recently, but once I had coloured up the beautiful Tulip Darling Bud, I thought she would make a great bookmark, then I realised my mum has a kindle, no book mark needed.

Instead I thought of using her to decorate a little plant, so here she is, she can always be taken out and put to use in another way.

I used some lovely patterned card to create the box (silhouette Store), then tied a bow with some bright orange organza ribbon.  Finally a went to the shop for a small plant (Thankfully it was a perfect fit).

I attached her to a wooden stirrer I acquired from the coffee shop!!

Birthday Hugs

We have a new challenge today over at Colour Crazy Challenge, which is sponsored by My Mums Craft shop who are offering a £10 shop voucher.

It is an ANYTHING GOES challenge as always.

This week I have used an image by Satured Canary, called 'On my Heart'.  As Hubbies birthday is coming up, I took the opportunity to make his birthday card.

I have coloured the main image with Prisma Pencils, then fussy cut the image.

The chipboard sentiment is from Make it Crafty and these have been coloured with Copics.

I wanted to add something a little extra to the card, so I made a heart shaped paper pocket, then decorated a hanging heart with co-ordinating paper and a vinyl sentiment, which can pop out and be kept.

Digi Choosday Week 11

It's the start of a new ANYTHING GOES challenge at DIGI CHOOSDAY and as it is St Patricks day this week the design team were challenged with using lots of Green.

I wasn't sure which image to choose, then when I was searching I came across an image from Winnie in Wonderland and thought, I could swop out the flower in her hat with some Shamrocks, so here she is my little Winnie Leprechaun.

I merged her with a sentiment from the Sihoutte store and then found some left over green paper and matted and layered this in the corners.

I used Copics to colour her up.

We have a beautiful double showcase for you today over at Aurora Wings.

Unfortunately I have only had time to colour up one of the beauties, so here is Crimson Blossom.

She has been coloured with my trusty Copics in shades of red and Green.

I framed her as a Mothers Day present for my Step Mum, who loves anything Red, especially Poppies, hope she likes her.

Digi Choosday Week 10

Happy CHOOSEDAY, which of course means a new ATG challenge over at Digi Choosday.

I just can't keep away from the new Darling Buds and as soon as I saw Snowdrop, I knew I wanted to colour her on Kraft.

I have used Prisma Premier Pencils.

I embossed the green background with a leaf folder by Creative expressions and added some lace borders and also a hand tied Lace bow.

Sprite Delight

It's the first Monday of the month, so it must be time for a new Team Stella challenge over at Aurora Wings, with a theme that seems to be very popular SPRITE DELIGHT.

There is also a lovely Pansy Sprite FREEBIE on offer if you head to the challenge site HERE.

There are also so many wonderful Sprite images in the Shop, it was hard to choose which one to use, but I finally chose 'Raspberry Sprite'.

I coloured this little cutie with my trusty Copics.

The papers were a bargain from our local B & M Stores, £3.00 for a 24 page double sided 12 x 12 paper pad and all the papers are beautiful.

I just added a die cut lace border and a couple of matching flowers.
