Digi Choosday Week 7

Hi everyone, Tuesday has rolled around once again, which means it is time for a new ATG challenge at DIGI CHOOSDAY.

Don't forget to grab todays discount code over on the challenge blog.

The challenge for the Design Team this week was anything but a square card.

I chose my image first 'Serenity Stardust' from the Serenity Fairy Wishes Collection and decided as she is sitting on the moon, I would make a star shaped card.

I coloured her up with Copics, using elements from a recent Kit & Clowder class to create a northern lights background for her. Her wings are very sparkly, but alas cannot be seen in my photos.

I took some black card and sprayed with clear perfect pearls, then searched for ages for the bottom layer. Finally I came across a sheet of card my 7 year old son had sprayed with various distress inks last summer, which was sitting at the bottom of my papers. It made the perfect bottom layer.

Darling Buds - Bluebell

Today I am sharing another new Darling Bud from Polka Doodles.

She reminds me so much of Childhood walks through the woods in springtime, when the ground was covered as far as you could see with BLUEBELLS.

Once again I have kept a fairly CAS layout, as I think these images are beautiful enough.

I have coloured her with Copics add one of the sentiments included in the Bundle.

Just adding a sweet background paper by LOTV and some ferns cut on my Cameo.

I do hope you are enjoying seeing these lovelies as much as I am enjoying bringing them to life.

I will be back on Wednesday with my next Darling Bud, but in the meantime, there is plenty of beautiful inspiration on all of the Polka Doodles pages.

Darling Buds - Primrose

I am so excited to join in with the latest Polka Doodles launch Party, because Nikky has designed the most beautiful ladies.

If you loved all the other collections like Octavia and Winnie, then these beauties are a must have, they are called 'Darling Buds'.

We will be showcasing the 10 - YES TEN, new images across the week, they can be purchased individually (included is a coloured version and B&W) and if you by the whole Bundle, there are sentiments included too.

So, first up for me is PRIMROSE.

I have used Copics to colour my image and I also cut & coloured some additional Primroses and glued over the original image to give a little dimension.

I decided to mount her against a black background to really make her pop, so I heat embossed down one side to add some interest and finished with Pearls and a Hand-tied bow in yellow organza.

I brightened up this photo to show the embossing.
